Team member: Yuuki Furuya, Eri Uchida, Arika Wada
Resolution: Students should be allowed to bring a mobile phone to school.
Affirmative or Negative: Affirmative

We think that all students should be allowed to bring a mobile phone to school. We have three points: function, safety and communication.

1. Functions: A lot of convenient functions are attached to the mobile phone. Information can promptly be got by using the mobile phone. The bulletin board goes out at the disaster. In case of a natural disaster, it is important to defend manner for social study. Therefore we can watch TV and listen to music. Because News can be seen on the television and feelings be refreshed by listening to music.

2. Safety: Mobile phone is useful to prevent the person who takes time to go to school and the person who gets home late can contact with the family. Also GPS function is loaded in the mobile phone.

3.Communication: A lot of numbers of friends increase. And communications with the family can be easily taken. We are glad and encouraged by mail and phone calls from our friends. It is possible to consult the worry thing that cannot be said directly through e-mail and the phone calls.

You said that by bringing a cell phone to school, you can increase the number of friends. That is not necessarily true. You can make a lot of friends by directly talking with your classmates, not by e-mailing them. Also, you may not make friends with someone just because she has a cell phone. When you choose your friend, it is more important that you feel confortable being with the person than the person brings a cell phone to school.

You said, "A lot of convenient functions are attached to the mobile phone." That is not important. That's is not significant because we can get the similar functions through other means. For example, we can get information through the screens set on the train. Also, we can always get information by announcements given on the train and at the station. We can enjoy listening to the music by using an iPod, or reading a book on the train.
